Made by Hand. Carried by Story.
A handcrafted piece carries evidence of the hand that made it: the pressure of a carving tool, the rhythm of a brush, the variation in a natural material, or the small difference that makes no two pieces exactly alike.
AFROTERIORS works with African artisans and suppliers to bring handcrafted art and décor into contemporary spaces. Our role is to curate pieces with presence and to share the product information available about their materials, techniques, origins, and makers.
Craft is part of the object
A sculpture is not only its silhouette. A painting is not only its colour. A wall mask is not only a shape on a wall. The material, method, and context influence how a piece feels and how it should be cared for.
Where information is verified, product pages identify the material, technique, origin, artisan, dimensions, and care requirements. Where information is not available, we do not fill the gap with a story that cannot be supported.
From African hands to modern spaces
Our collections are selected for homes, offices, hospitality spaces, and interiors that value character over uniformity. A hand-carved figure can anchor an entryway. A painted work can bring movement to a quiet wall. A mask can create a strong vertical moment in a gallery arrangement.
The goal is not to make a room feel themed. The goal is to make it feel considered.
Respectful curation
We believe cultural context should be handled with care. We use specific product information where it has been verified, credit makers and suppliers where permission allows, and avoid reducing complex traditions to generic labels.
